The House of Gregory in the Scottish Highlands was built by the ancient family Grioghar. I am sorry that this story is at it's end. Truly. But there is yet another book to continue what I have embarked on! This makes me very happy. Do take this journey. I fell in love the people in this book. I could have it in a few days but I put down just to prolong the end.
This book is along the lines of Rosamund Pilchner and Marcia Willett. You just want it to go on and on.
Love the escape Ms. Kennon provides on a hot summer afternoon. In a mostly uncivilized world she gives us characters with integrity and a joy to read about.
I am very pleased with this second book by Meredith Kennon and awaiting her new one on March 7, 2016
I enjoy stories about Scotland, have read many & this book, I was always anxious to pick up & continue into the depth of the story. It was an adventure for Tia, a step into the future that she really needed. Loved the description of the area, weather, and the ending.
This is a gentle and positive book. I enjoyed it, the characters were well developed, and the storyline was clearly structured. I found it a pleasure to read, and valued the way the author wove in a supernatural element without making it too overt.
I enjoyed the use of the diary, although mildly tedious a couple of time. I will have to consider that aspect in the journal my main character keeps in Miss Angel.
As with Elizabeth Goudge , Merideth keeps a comfortable weave of families going, so the ones you would have missed, you don't have too!
